Straight is an adjective used to describe someone who is heterosexual.
Heterosexuality is a romantic attraction, sexual attraction, or sexual behavior between people of the opposite sex or gender.
Along with bisexuality and homosexuality, heterosexuality is one of the three main categories of sexual orientation generally identified. In all cultures, most people are straight, and heterosexual activity is by far the most common type of sexual activity.
The term βstraightβ is generally applied to the human species, which is the only species to have built societies based on heterosexuality, but this behavior is observed in all mammals and in other animals, without forming the basis of their social organization, due to its necessity for sexual reproduction.
