The vampire is a type of revenant that belongs to the great legendary creatures originating from mythologies where concerns about the afterlife and the mystery of blood are combined in various ways.
According to different folklores and the most common superstition, this undead being feeds on the blood of the living to draw vital energy from it, with its victims sometimes becoming vampires after their death.

- Buffy the Vampire Slayer (1997). It tells the story of Buffy Summers, a Vampire Slayer from a long line of Chosen Ones fighting against the forces of evil, particularly vampires and demons.
- Vampire Diaries (2009). At the start of the school year, Elena Gilbert crosses paths with Stefan Salvatore, a mysterious newcomer, whom she immediately falls for before meeting his "devilish" older brother, Damon Salvatore. She soon discovers their secret. This encounter will completely change her life as well as those of her friends.
- Twilight (2008). Bella Swan moves to live with her father in Forks, Washington. There, she becomes fascinated by a mysterious young man her age, Edward, and his unusual family. She soon discovers that Edward and his family are actually vampires, but this does not frighten Bella.

- Castlevania (2017). This American animated series are based on the video games series of the same name. Trevor Belmont has to follow his quest to protect Wallachia from Dracula.
- Hellsing (2001). The Hellsing organization has to protect England from supernatural creatures. The central character is Alucard, a powerful vampire.

- Baldur's Gate 3 (2023). Introduces a playable vampire character, one of the biggest story lines of the game, Astarion. This character is really popular amongst players.
- Vampyr (2018). This RPG game takes place in the 1918 London. Dr Jonathan Reid recently turned into a vampire and has to find balance between his doctor oath and his vampire urges.
