Horror
Horror as a genre has at first the fear and unease within its audience as the main objective. It can be the main focus for a wide variety of works, from literature, series, movies or even videogames, and even as a genre, Horror can be considered one of the most varied genres within different works, since it has several vertients, coming from topics like paranormal phenomenon, mortality or psychological uneasing topics to say the least.

Etymology and Origin
The word Horror comes from the Latin horrere, which means "to shudder" or "to tremble", having a direct relation with the genre's core purpose, which is to create an uneasing sensation, as stated before. Regarding the origin of the term, the first time it is registered as a genre, it is in the 18th Century with the rise of Gothic fiction in literature. At first, Horror was merely focused on psychological and paranormal topics as the central role of it, but as time went by, it evolved and covered the wide variety that it was mentioned before, creating their own niches within the genre.
Pop Culture
Since it is a really popular genre in different works, it has been really present in Popular Culture, at first it might be considered as a kind of niche, but after the late 20th Century with the boom created by the Slasher sub-genre in Hollywood (with movies like: The Texas Chain Saw Massacre (1974), Halloween (1978), Friday the 13th (1980), and A Nightmare on Elm Street (1984).), it became totally mainstream and started to be in a constant evolution after that. CrushOn Usage
In CrushOn, the tag Horror tends to have varied uses, being mostly divided into two main variants: fanmade bots of a certain Horror franchise, and Original Characters or free scenarios with genuine horror-based interactions, some of them with RPG elements and some others working as a sandbox progression.

Entity is a character with RPG elements, being part of the tag since it is a kind of bossfight against a pretty uneasing character, with some mind reading elements and a curious hint of visual elements that might certainly be considered horrific for some people. The credit goes to Venom Master who created this bot.

With an interesting setup, Camping gone wrong puts you in a scenario where something that appeared paranormal as a Wendigo, it roams near your tent, and after lighting it with your flashlight, you get to interact with her, a killer that has the forest as her twisted playground. The credit goes to Von Capalot, who created this bot.

This is a Sandbox example of how this tag can be present in a more free scenario, Zombie Apocalypse RPG, as its title states, is a set up where you get to see on the news that a zombie outbreak just started and you have to choose how you will prepare to survive it. The cretit goes to Lucifen, who created this bot.
