Markdown is a lightweight markup language that is used for creating a formatted text in a plain editor. This specific markdown system was created by John Gruber in 2004, and the main focus is on its ''Ease of use''. Now, Markdown is widely used in many different places, such as in online forums, collaborative software, documentation pages, readme files just to name a few.

Usage in Crushon.AI

Crushon.AI also utilizes Markdown for many of its features, such as for text formatting. During character creation, creators have the opportunity to make their bots more interesting, easier to read and add some interesting features through markdown. Below are some examples.

Italics

Italics are used primarily to describe actions, thoughts, situations or feelings. The formating is rather simple as well. Simply put the desired text within two asterisks (*Text*). You will notice in the preview that the text has now changed and is written in italics, which helps the LLM understand your intentions.

Italics, AI Chatbot, AI companion, Crushon, Crushon.ai, AI girlfriend, Uncensored, Unfiltered, AI, AI bot,

Example would be:

Bold

In Crushon.AI, bold text is primarily used to highlight names or different sections of the message, such as ''Tracker'' or ''Thoughts''. This helps improve the readability of the text, and is very easy to format. Simply put the desired text within two sets of two asterisks (**Text**). When successful, the preview will immediately display bold text.

Example would be:

**Text goes here**

Code Block

Code block is also possible, however, it's usage is rather infrequent. Some creators utilize it for ''Tracker'', or ''Stats'' when it comes to RPG bots. The process is also simple, as all you need to do is put the desired text within these symbols ```.

Code Block, AI Chatbot, AI companion, Crushon, Crushon.ai, AI girlfriend, Uncensored, Unfiltered, AI, AI bot,

Example would be:

```
Text goes here
Images in greeting
If you'd like to bring your bots to life with some visual representation, you can follow these steps:
1.) Upload the image to online hosting website. Whether this image is AI generated, or it's an art piece that you have permission to use, simply upload it to a website such as imgbb.com (You may use other hosting websites as well, however, it's best to choose the most reliable one. In some cases, these hosting sites are against NSFW and will delete your image if it's ''spicy'', so always ensure your image follows both websites guidelines and Crushons guidelines)
2.) Once the image is uploaded, click on it so that it redirects you to the full image preview. Right click the image and select ''Copy image URL''. Ensure that you do not directly copy the page's link. It has to be Direct image URL.
3.) With the link coppied, go to any URL shorterer website that is available to you. I personally use rb.gy, as their links are very short and permanent. Once there, paste and shorten the URL. This is very important. First and most obvious, it saves tokens, which is always a good thing to do when making a character. Second is for security reasons, as this eliminates the possibility of different image being displayed instead. In some cases, if AI writes the link wrong, even just one letter, a different image can be shown. Doing this step eliminates this possibility.
4.) With the shortened link copied, go back to the character creator page > Greeting and use this format to insert the image -
![leave this empty](Link goes here)
Real example looks like this - ![](https://rb.gy/lrthnh)
If done right, you will immediately see the image in the preview.
5.) Last but not least, please ensure that the images you use comply with our Guidelines, otherwise, your bot may be taken down. Please follow the same rules as bot's PFPs.
