Stheno
Stheno is one of CrushOn's signature LLMs available for use by user. It is well-suited for roleplay scenarios that are more grounded and 'standard' in terms of the world settings. Particularly, the model is skilled in creating immersive stories, and naturally advancing plot development. The model is fast, and although it is comparatively simple in terms of writing imagination when compared to other models such as the Claude models or Gemini, it is a great contender in story-based roleplay.

From here on out, the content may not be fully accurate to each user and act only as general reference. Each user often could see highly different experiences as there are many variables that affect the behavior and quality of the models. From profile cards, the style in which the user converse with the character, the set parameters for the model, and of course the personality of the characters. And periodically, even minimal adjustments made to the model by the developers could also substantially change its behavior whether intended or not.
Strengths and Flaws
Stheno is a great, cheap, and fast model one could use for 'standard' roleplay settings. While it can show great creative potential for improvisation to some extent, the model's greatest strength lies in its narrative consistency and story-teller like narrations. It excels in emotional tension and plot that are found in familiar environments. Things such as office romcom, college drama, and so on will feel engaging and immersive.
However, when it comes to its flaws, it does come with quite a few.
- For one, it may prioritize 'positive traits' of a character before anything else. For example, when a character is prompted that 'they are a strict teacher', it may be much harder to cross professional boundaries in such a relationship.
- On top of that, the model also makes full use of backstories prompted into the characters. To that end, some traits that may not be intentionally disclosed so early could easily be spoiled within the narration.
- And lastly, the model may not be the best at interpreting complex instructions that are prompted into the characters. (Although experience of this may vary.)
Common Issues with the Model
The most common issue with Stheno is often found in its initial formatting. At times, when starting conversations with Stheno, it may use some rather unconventional placement of important symbols such as the asterisks. Either by using too much, or placing it at the wrong locations. This error will often cause formatting to seem messy and even broken at times, however this is easily fixed.
- By simply manually editing the conversation and giving Stheno the correct example of formatting, it would often continue in a uniform way and train itself in the preferred formatting type rather consistently.
